Borderlines

14 Oct, 2022

Borderlines - a border zone of consciousness. In the project border is represented by a thick line carved with a sharp stone and sometimes by a very subtle line cut precisely with a scalpel. My eye acts as a sentry patrolling the borderline between here and there, between consciousness and disbelief. The purpose of the line is to capture the moment between a dream and reality, dirt and purity. The border. According to Jones’s writing, a thin red line separating what is still a culture from what will always be animalistic. Nature conceived on the edge of the swelling line of darkeness before it becomes ungraspable, unimaginable and inconceivable. Every shot resembles a song. A song of evanescence and abandoning borders and limits to words, objects, and concepts. A song about continuity of the body, discontinuity of time, and fractality of our existence. A song about meat blended with light, movement combined with death, and resentment united with extasy.
